If you’re like me, you might be annoyed that at the beginning of the year, schools these days are requesting we send in cleaners that we are NOT excited about. Cleaners with bleach are already known to irritate asthma, and how many of us have kids that suffer with asthma and allergies? LOTS. If you didn’t know and you find it hard to believe, I understand. That was me! Feel free to search info yourself or check out this Reuters article.
A big part of our issues these days is the fact that SO many chemicals are released into the enclosed spaces we live and work in. We spend like 80% of our time indoors! Believe it or not, opening windows and airing out the room often is better for us than stale air. I wouldn’t have guessed that a few years ago, but now I know different and now I know why that’s true.
Chemicals in household and commercial cleaners, in our carpet, furniture, laundry products, air fresheners, personal care products – like perfume and lotion, contain chemicals that are either not sufficiently tested, or they flat out contain things we know are bad for us and our environment!! It’s kinda cray cray. What can we do? Open windows and get a fresh batch of air inside when you can, diffuse Young Living Essential oil often, and begin to detoxify things that are in your control.
I sent a bottle of this natural white board cleaner to school with my daughter and the requests began to roll in for more. LOL. It’s effective, smells AWESOME and it’s actually GOOD for our environment!
How simple is this???
If you’re thinking Young Living products are too expensive, that’s not necessarily true. I used to feel the SAME way and I have learned how wrong I was! 🙂 I make TONS of stuff that I used to clip coupons for and go to the store and buy. They were making me ill for starters, and now I save money and time by doing the DIY’s with a couple key ingredients. Young Living Thieves cleaner, baking soda, vodka and lemon oil. If I would have known this when I had little kids I could have saved lots of time and money. And not have memories of my babies drooly mouths gnawing on a corner of a table that was cleaned with Pledge. (click for an alternative DIY recipe)
Check out these prices for wholesale members… Lemon oil (at 85 drops per 5 ml bottle) works out to be .07 a drop! Only .04 per drop for a 15 ml bottle (250 drops). If you’re not a wholesale member you can STILL pick up a 15 ml bottle and only pay .06 a drop right here: bit.ly/BuyYoungLivingOnline
Lemon oil has a ton of other uses too. It’s nature’s Goo Gone!
If you are interested in learning more about a wholesale account, you can read about it here. bit.ly/AnointedByAbba It’s a great deal!
Thieves cleaner is amazeballs… If you don’t know the story of Thieves you can check that one out here: (note–this recipe is for a DIY Thieves Spray, which is a great surface sanitizer, and it happens to be ingestible – great for scratchy throats!) Worth the read! Thieves cleaner is something worth the purchase. It’s super concentrated, so one bottle makes 15-30 bottles of household cleaners, depending on what you’re making. It’s a cleaning staple that smells like cinnamon heaven!
Plus, if you google the benefits of cinnamon bark, rosemary, lemon and clove oils, you might be surprised enough to use swear words…it’s that good. Nature knows what it’s doing!!! Not only are you killing germs, you’re boosting YOUR system, plus the systems of your family AND helping the environment. (Man boobs won’t go away until we quit putting endocrine disruptors into our products, because they end up in our water and therefore our food supply) Anyhoo!!! This is SUCH a great idea. OK, I must make one more point… Plus, you’re not lining the pockets of big business CEOs! In case you didn’t know, they do not have our best interests in mind. You can google Johnson & Johnson lawsuits as well as the Honest company. It’s pretty sad actually, but it is what is. What we CAN do is change that by not buying their stuff. 🙂 Help a small business owner instead! And on THAT note, I must mention–if you know a Young Living representative be sure to contact them to help you order. 🙂 OK, now I’m done. LOL!
