My God-given sponsor, Tracey Campbell, hosted a 101 class in her home and she was so sweet to offer all of the attendees an opportunity to make the pumpkin spice sugar scrub I featured here earlier in the month, except with REAL pumpkin in it. Hee hee! That took it to a whoooole other level. It is DIVINE! Just add 1-2 Tbsp. of organic canned pumpkin–Try that!
Then I got to thinking… I remember seeing a pumpkin spice latte idea on the Essential Oils Recipes Facebook page. Ahem…Are YOU thinking what I’M thinking?!?
Oh em gee! I twisted on that idea a lil bit too. Instead of adding ground coffee to the scrub, I added a Starbucks Via. (That’s their line of instant coffee, and it’s yum) Because, really, I don’t need any more lil’ exfoliaters in there, and cleaning up the grounds after a legit coffee scrub takes a minute or two….I just want to be transported to the lovely ‘land of latte’ and this totally fits the bill!
Here’s what you need for a small 4 oz. jar like in the picture, and simply adjust if you’d like to make more.
1/2 c. Organic Sugar
2 Tbls. Organic Coconut Oil, melted
1 Tbls. Organic canned pumpkin
1 tsp. Organic Shea butter, melted
1/2 tsp. Organic Vanilla
fresh grated organic cinnamon (optional)
1-2 Tbsp instant coffee (Any instant coffee will do!)
And… 1 drop each: Young Living Nutmeg, Clove, Cardamom and Stress Away, and 2 drops of Cinnamon Bark
Just mix in a glass or stainless bowl to your taste and spoon it up! Into… the… jars… 🙂 YES, OF COURSE I TASTED SOME… YES, IT’S GOOD! Yes, I am still tasing it right now….hee hee
